Product Owner’s Challenges

The role of po is indispensable for scrum teams this role can be compared to a deeply rooted tree which has a firm foundation on the product side and provides vision and approach and the plan execution on the outer side the carry the ownership of the product in terms of quality and delivering quality and delivering as per expectations set with the stakeholder the product owner needs to have an all-inclusive view of the products along with all other factors that make the products successful which involves understanding business go to market organizational readiness and product capabilities all of these should be collectively managed and coordinated and aligned to drive the product to success and by extension make a successful product owner.

There are many challenges faced by product owner everyday among them, here are a few that needs to be tackled by the PO to be successful in product owner role. 1) Missing Road map: As a product owner you should be familiar and the firm understanding of the road map of the products to guide your team in a proper direction. 2) Acceptance Criteria: This high-level acceptance criteria, products owner should be fully responsible and capable of accepting the final approval of the products. 3) spending too much time dealing with products support instead of grooming the backlog 4) changing the priority while sprint is in process.
